USA ICE Threatens Foreign Students On Visas To Leave The Country Or Risk Facing Deportation

If Schools in USA switches to online due to the effect of the coronavirus, it is possible that, foreign students in the USA will be deported according to the threats imposed by the U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) managed by the ICE has made it known to the foreign students in the country that, they will not be allowed to stay in the country if their education system for the 2020 semester is been shifted to online.

Therefore, they will have to leave the country in order to access their online education in their respective countries or face deportation of they persist on staying.

Also, new students who wish to study in the USA will not be allowed to enter or study in the country in the schools they chose are offering their courses online for the fall semester.

They also warned foreign students who are already in the country to either transfer to a different school that does not offer online courses or leave the country and learn online.
